This award was established by the family, friends, and colleagues of Daniel Gorenstein to commemorate his outstanding mathematical research, his skillful and enthusiastic exposition of his field, and his wise and devoted service to Rutgers University. The Award is given for outstanding scholarly achievement to a Rutgers faculty member who has also performed exceptional service to the University.

The Navy demonstrated its ongoing support for the Naviator by showcasing the hybrid unmanned vehicle at the Office of Naval Research’s 2017 Naval Future Force Science and Technology Expo July 20-21 in Washington, D.C.

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has distinguished Professor Michael Muller as one of the 5 recipients of the 2017 Champion of Energy Efficiency in Industry Awards for a lifetime of leadership in developing training programs for students in industrial energy efficiency. Professor Muller has established the Center for Advanced Energy Systems and has been a central figure in the US Department of Energy Industrial Assessment Center program.

ISGMA Young Researcher Awards are granted to the individuals under the age of 45 who have made a significant contribution to green manufacturing and applications.

The Naviator, hybrid air/underwater drone, being developed in Prof. Diez's group will be featured at the upcoming Naval Future Force S&T Expo at the Convention Center in Washington DC July 20-21.
